What are the criteria to separate healthy weight loss diets from unhealthy ones? Firstly, unhealthy weight loss diets usually are very heavily focused on one ingredient or one food. Secondly, they are more likely to use processed foods. And lastly, there would be no scientific proof that they work.
Here are some examples of healthy weight loss diets: Macrobiotic diet, Dr. McDougall's diet, Dr.Ornish'es diet.
The Atkins diet and the Grapefruit diet are not healthy.
Weight Watchers diet is proven effective; it's success is well documented. However, I cannot comment on how healthy it is as I have never used it.
